It’s just like on a Hog 4 or a Grand MA, or a Jands Vista, pretty much any major desk out there, you can go in and assign the buttons on the playback to do different things.Īnother cool feature, you see my playbacks here are different colors, what in the world? Well, how cool is this? You can assign these to whatever you want in the MPC software. If you don’t use flash buttons a lot, like I said, you’ve got the “flash” button, and then you’ve got a “select” and a “GO button”. It really works and it’s really pretty cool if you’re doing music and you use your flash buttons a lot. See across it here, each fader of these ten has a bump button lights up real nice when you press it, and they’ve also installed this force touch functionality where you can set these bump buttons to respond to how hard you press them. I thought, when I bought this thing, I was going to be like, “You know, it’s cheap and it’s good for people who don’t have a lot of money, but if you’ve got money, you probably just want to get something with real faders”, but I’m not saying that because this thing’s pretty cool. It’s crazy, I never thought I’d say that. It takes a little while to get used to the way it feels, but once you get used to, I say, faders no more. It’s like anything else as you’re getting used to a new laptop with a new track pad, or a new mouse, a new car, whatever you’re getting used to. I got t0 tell you, when I first got it out of the box, I was a little concerned about it because I was pushing really hard and I just couldn’t get the feel right. You can see here it moves naturally with my finger, really easy. This time I’ll do it like a weather man and I won’t get in the way of the LED’s. You can move them up and down simply by moving your hand across them. You’ve got ten faders right here, which are the “Force Touch” faders. See here about size wise, if I hold it up to my laptop, it’s just a little bit wider than my 15 inch laptop, and it’s not as deep. I did an unboxing video and kind of went over this, but I want to show it to you again. What I think about it, what I like about it, what I don’t like about it…and most importantly, should you buy one if you’re in the market for a lighting console? Physical:
Hey lighting fans – It’s David from, and today I want to give you a full review of the M-Touch, now that I’ve had a few weeks to play with it. The M-Touch was formerly produced by Martin, but has since been sold to Elation – more info here! Watch the full review below, and check out the transcript below that: I really like this desk, and I think you will too. Lord have mercy.Recently, I took the opportunity to do a full review of the M-Touch lighting console which I recently purchased. So this whole time since I set up my new studio I've been listening to a mono signal of just one side of my tracks. This Ross Martin guy must have lost his mind when he made my D/A. Now, logically, you would think that the two left ones are L1 R1, and the two right ones are L2, R2. The D/A has two sets of outputs configured like this (imagine the Os are outputs on the back): My Fireface 800 spits out audio digitally into a Ross Martin D/A converter, which then sends the signal to my speakers. you were right, it was a routing issue, but not what I expected. Is your speaker turned on? No, really, this **** can happen.12:10 AM and I just figured it out. ? If you see signal coming in both l & r in your software, but no sound out of your speaker you have some routing configurations wrong.
Re read my post, double check your software ins and outs. I think this is what is causing my problem. The cables from the MPC to rear of the patchbay are going in vertically, meaning top and bottom, not left and right. Seems like my patchbay is doing weird ****. When I pull the left, I still hear audio on both speakers.
When I pull the right patch cable out, the sound disappears. Everything is connected through a patchbay in my studio. I'm using patch cables to match the output of the MPC main to my interface inputs. I tried switching the cables from L to R and back, and nothing is working. The signal I see in the DAW (I tried a few) is stereo as well. If I leave it center, or pan right, the sound remains the same. For every pad, if I pan it to the left, the sound disappears. I connected it to my patchbay, and from that to my interface.
I have been using the Live only with headphones until now. I've had this issue in the past but I can't remember what I did.
